We never tire of Joshua Tree weddings. I can promise you that. We were so thrilled when Geneva and Andy brought Rad + In Love on to photograph their intimate and heartfelt nuptials and the celebration that follows. The whole shindig was super DYI, and so personal. Also we can’t get over Geneva’s Callahan Dress! One of my favorite moments though, when Andy serenaded his new bride with the cover of a Tom Waits song! He knows the way to a ladies heart. Read tons more and see more photos today on 100 Layer Cake. Thank you Geneva and Andy! BELLE + PONTUS: TEMESCAL RIDGE TRAIL, LOS ANGELES, CA
We LOVE intimate weddings! Belle + Pontus created their perfect ceremony on the very mountaintop that gave them the inspiration. They took some time with their officiant, who was a close friend, to create a ceremony that was unique and meaningful to them. They had a few handfuls of close family and friends fly in from Europe to celebrate. Their guests were taken to the mountain trail by bus, not knowing where they were going – only that there would be a wedding outdoors in the California sun. They took their time to enjoy every minute of their day, even as the sun went down, they were perfectly present.
Head on over to A Practical Wedding for more of their story!

Anna + Ollie: A little Sayulita, Mexico celebration
This is an oldie but a goodie. What better way to spend a day at work than following a gorgeous couple (majorly in love) ramble around one of your favorite Mexican fishing villages, before tying the knot over the ocean, and then celebrating with their closest family (plus some mariachi and tequila, of course.) Read all about it today on Green Wedding Shoes! Xoxo

JANE + ADAM: LOS ANGELES, CA
Jane + Adam took a road trip from SF to LA to elope at the Griffith Park Observatory. The best chance to have an uninterrupted ceremony in this public place was just after sunrise. I couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised when they showed up dressed to the nines at 630 am! We took some portraits in and around Griffith Park then headed over to Langer’s old school deli near MacArthur Park. We had the place to ourselves at 9 am and they had their favorite famous Original #19 sandwich – hot pastrami on rye. We ended the morning with a portrait outside Don Draper’s childhood home in Angelino Heights (we were all fans of Madmen). Head on over to Green Wedding Shoes for more of their story.

Jessica + Luckey: Joshua Tree Super Moon Wedding
We loved Jessica and Luckey’s simple and peaceful approach to their wedding day. They got ready together in the house they own with their family in Joshua Tree, with vetever oil diffusing in the air. (The oil has a grounding element, perfect for your wedding day!) Jessica and her sister (who also made the wedding jewelry) fluttered about before hand, putting together the florals and last minute ceremony touches- adding to the elements brought in by the groom Luckey, who is an artist. The ceremony details, with the color, architectural elements, and cacti, where so Luis Barragan-ish. The freaking phenomenal vegan-raw cake was made by a close friend and wedding guest. The family dogs padded around the compound, along with all the kiddos. You could tell the couple was surrounded by their closest friends and family for such an intimate celebration of love. Our kind of jam! Check out Once Wed for more today. Thank you Jessica + Luckey!

RONDA + BRYAN: JOSHUA TREE, CA
Ronda and Bryan have been longtime dear friends of mine and I was deeply honored to be asked to photograph their wedding. We share a killer community of friends of which they are the core. Tons of creativity in these folks, and lots of heart. The wedding was a weekend long lovefest complete with an afterparty where a multitude of musician friends played late into the night. One of the most moving moments was Ronda and Bryan’s duet of Kiss’s “I was made for loving you”. I still get a little teary thinking about it! Head on over to A Practical Wedding to hear more about their day in their own words!

TESSA + ANDY: PRIVATE RESIDENCE, OJAI, CA
We love the genuine peace that surrounds Ojai, a rustic farm town full of orchards, with mountains and hot springs where people come to escape the city for a weekend. Tessa and Andy threw a gorgeous diy wedding with around 75 people at a private residence for the weekend. Their families and friends traveled from all over the world to be a part of their celebration – an afternoon ceremony followed by a sunset dinner party and dancing into the dark, star-filled night. We are so grateful to have been there to capture the love between these two and their lovely family and friends. Congratulations Tessa and Andy!!!

We were so honored and thrilled when our talented friend and fellow photographer Olivia asked us to photograph her wedding day to her very charming beu, Blake. MARIAM + PAUL: WRIGHT RANCH, MALIBU, CA
Mariam + Paul were made for each other. They crossed many of the same paths over their lives living in LA, never meeting or even catching a glimpse. Maybe they missed each other by a minute, or an hour. Everyone who knows them is ecstatic that they finally met. Their love, respect for each other and sincerity as humans hits me deep. Just days away from their one year anniversary, I am so pleased to finally share Reena + Shane’s totally epic, 2 day, 3 event Hindu and Sikh festival inspired wedding weekend. Every wedding is totally uniquqe, just as no couple is ever the same, but never have we photographed one quite like this before, and I doubt we ever will. Scroll on down to see photos of their friday night Sangeet dinner, then keep moving along for the visual explosion that is their Sikh and Hindu ceremonies, and finally conclude by taking in their desert festival wedding. And if you dig it (you dig it, don’t you?) hop over to our friend’s at 100 Layer Cake and read directly from Reena herself what all the fuss is about here! JORDAN + LOGAN: MAMA SHELTER, HOLLYWOOD, CA
Jordan + Logan first met in college and were happily surprised when their paths crossed again years later, after they had both moved to LA. They threw an intimate, colorfully decorated wedding on the rooftop at Mama Shelter in Hollywood – the first event of it’s kind at the Hotel. They were incredibly warm, as were their friends and family and all the other vendors. It was a total dream team job. And dang, did Tasteful Tatters nail the decor! We had so much fun photographing the celebration. Read about it in the Bride’s own words over at Green Wedding Shoes today!

BONNIE + KENNETH: BE TULUM, TULUM, MEXICO
We love Bonnie + Kenneth! I was lucky enough to spend some time with Bonnie a few months before her wedding when I was in New Orleans on another job. She showed me around the town, took me to her gallery (she’s an incredible artist) and met me for dinner! Kenneth was out of town for work at the time so it was just us ladies. It made it extra fun for us that we knew each other a little before the wedding. These two planned the most beautiful and low key affair in Tulum and I couldn’t have been more psyched to spend their day with them. Read more about how they planned their tiny destination wedding over at A Practical Wedding!
